their voices heard. ktvu's paul chambers is following the crowd and just spoke to city leaders about the rule changes for tonight's meeting. paul-- >> reporter: we were inside a few minutes ago but you can see there's quite a few people outside very upset and very angry. this has been going on for nearly half an hour. but about 40 minutes ago this was the scene. >> let them in, let them in. let them in. >> reporter: city leaders closed the doors and the faces of dozens of people who wanted to voice their concerns about alan blufford the 18-year-old that was shot and killed by oakland police back in may. today many of those supporters marched to city hall. >> our thing is not to take over city hall. we want to make sure that the city hall is aware of my son's death and are doing something about it. >> the balcony and gallery are close for security reasons. >> reporter: now it was two weeks ago that a group interrupted the council meeting when they demanded to see the police report. council said it was so disruptive they ended their meeting early. because of it, they placed a new

replacements for a minimum of four days they will be out here on a picket line through saturday. ktvu channel 2 news. >>> happening now, tension at oakland city hall where in the last few minutes dozens of people have been sdod leave city council chambers following some heated exchanges over a police shooting. this is a live look right now outside the meeting. protesters are demanding the police report on a shooting back in may that took the life of 18-year-old alan blooper. we are told the protesters got a copy of that report and protesters are still not happy. our crew was there earlier tonight and some protesters were kept out of the council meeting [ crowd chanting ] . >> the gallery and balcony inside the council chambers have been shut down. the city calls it a security precaution. we caught up with blooper's father about an hour ago as he marched with demonstrators. >> my thing is not to take over the city hall meeting. we want to make sure the city hall is aware of my son's death and doing something about it. >> two weeks ago a group of protesters interrupted the city council

people are looking for temporary housing after a fire burned their home. ktvu channel 2 reporter claudine wong has been there since 4:30 this morning getting a close look at the damage. >> reporter: good morning, tori. we have daylight. we can get a look at the damage. you can see how hot this fire burned. there was a partial roof collapse this morning. so waiting for daylight was very important for investigations to make sure it was safe so they can figure out what areas are safe to go into as they try to figure this out. we just talked to a neighbor who practically could feel the heat of the fire from his deck. he told us what he saw. >> from what i could tell, it was another oakland hills fire. it was so intense and so big. i thought what's going on here? it was just the one house. but it was very scary. >> reporter: when he first saw the firefighter, the firefighters were not called get. they got a call at about 12:15 and they got here and saw the fire was surrounding threatening -- the fire was threatsenning surrounding homes and they called for backup. there was one person
